Community Development

The Meadows has a great sense of community and our Community Centre staff are totally committed to development and representation.

For the last year the recession has greatly impacted the voluntary sector with reduction in funding and resources. Despite these challenges we have successfully supported local community groups in their application for funding, hosted several city-wide community meetings to discuss the regeneration plans, the NET Phase 2 Tram and voluntary sector funding.

We have also enjoyed hosting in 2013 a Dragon’s Den, Senior Citizens Christmas dinner and a children’s Christmas party.
